Reeves Muntjac deer (Muntiacus reevesi)
This species is native to China and Taiwan, introduced to the UK in the early 20th century, they are now one of the most widespread wild deer. Standing around 18–20 inches tall at the shoulder and weighing 22–40 lb, they are small but hardy. Despite their size, males have distinctive downward tusks, which they use in fights during the rut alongside their small backwards pointed antlers.
