Sika

Sika deer - Cervus nippon

Sika deer a strikingly beautiful, and equally cunning species of deer to hunt. Typically they sport antlers with 4 tines per side. We are fotrunate enough to have free range Japanese sika, across the UK with some exceptional stalking in Ireland, South of England, and Scotland. As well as their larger cousins, the Manchurian sika, on ancient private hunting estates in England.

A nimble and fierce mid-sized deer, with exceptional senses, they've been known to sneak up behind you, with the wind in their favour, making the hunter, the hunted.

Manchurian Sika

A much larger sub species of Sika, in both body and antler. This variety sports impressive antlers upto 35 inches long, adorned in bright orange velvet in the summer months, and a stunning orange coat with white spots.
