Collection: Chamois Hunting

Chamois, are a species of high alpine mountain goat, extremely agile and incredibly beautiful, they have stunning facial markings, and are often seen on the highest most impassable cliff faces. The bucks posses thick dark horns, which grow straight upwards, before curling back down towards the ground. It can be difficult to tell the difference between bucks and nannies, and so getting close to these extremely well sighted animals is always an important part of assessing a trophy. Hunting these animals is possible at all times of year, their coats changing from a stunning short golden summer coat, to a jet black thick winter coat, they're truly one of the most beautiful creatures we have to hunt.

A high level of fitness is required for this hunt, as the Chamois live at the tops of the mountains. A days hunting can often involve climbing over 1000m (3280ft) elevation in a day. Hunts are based out of fly camps, with dehydrated meals being a staple part of the diet due to their lightweight nature.
